Cogent - Consulting Engineering Construction

Luis Carbonell, Chief Construction Officer: Luis has been a project manager for over 7 years. He comes with a background in commercial and residential construction as a project manager with Odebrecht working on the Carnival Performing Arts Center and, more recently, as a project manager for custom homes and commercial projects at GC Homes, Inc. He will be your liaison between the Cogent and the project and will provide expert supervisory services on all aspects of the construction process. Luis received his degree from the University of Florida.

Alex Galvez, Chief Financial Officer: Alex is a certified public accountant with a well-rounded career in the public accounting, commercial real estate and residential real estate industries. His prior experience includes working at Deloitte & Touche, Cushman & Wakefield and most recently as Director of Sales at GC Homes, Inc. Alex’s experience and expertise is unmatched and as CFO of Cogent he will handle the financial portion of all transactions with a precision you can rely on. Alex is a licensed CPA, real estate broker and mortgage broker and received his MBA from the University of Central Florida.

Alfredo Carbonnel, P.E. - Engineer.  Alfredo has over 30 years of experience as a structural engineer.  He most recently was the special inspector on the complete remodeling of the Fountainbleu Hotel on Miami Beach.  Hia duties include producing engineering plans for construction, inspecting structural construction as it progresses and rendering a professional opinion on structures and their integrity when disasters occur.
